Digital Media CT Summit

Targeted towards high schoolers, college students, and teachers who are interested in film, television, and digital media, DMCT is sure to be a dynamic event. Featured speakers include leading digital content producers from Connecticut and beyond. This event includes a talent showcase and specialized breakout sessions for all students.

NBCUniversal Executive Panel

NBCUniversal Stamford Media Center

For executives who deploy digital media in their communications and marketing roles. Held at the Stamford Media Center’s Studio A, this panel will feature marketing leaders from NBCUniversal’s 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Los Angeles studios and others. Learn how NBCUniversal and other top media organizations use digital media for their marketing campaigns. The panel will cover methods and new technologies that promote their properties. These best practices are especially useful for brand communications directors, public relations heads, and marketing executives. An audience Q&A session will wrap up the event.
Prior to the panel discussion, tours of Studio A, where Maury and other shows are shot, will be available from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. Tour guides can discuss how attendees can now use the NBCUniversal facilities for their own digital productions. The tours will begin in the SMC’s lobby during the free Digital Media Expo.

The cell phone has come a long way in recent years with touch screens, facial recognition software and high-resolution cameras counted as just a few of the features once only found in sci-fi movies. Anyone with a modern phone can now instantly record a quick video and post it for the world to see in a matter of minutes, but not everyone can make it look good. That’s where we come in! If you want to learn the basics of getting started as a cellphone cinematographer or get a few editing tips to spice up those Instagram posts, family videos or small business ads, stop by our workshop. Come with your cellphones charged: iPhone users will be using iMovie and Andriod users will be using Filmora Go. If needed, please download the appropriate app ahead of time.
