FAQ

Looking to learn more about SiW? You’ve come to the right place. We’ve done our best to collect and address the brain-busting questions plaguing our society today.

Stamford Innovation Week (SiW) is a multi-day celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology that takes place in Stamford, CT. Each September, the region’s innovators come together to teach, learn, connect, and grow together. Our events cover a very diverse range including speakers, panels, popup events, galleries, shows, a conference, and more.

That’s our favorite question! There are many ways to get involved or help out:

  • Join the Board of Directors
  • Join a Track Committee
  • Sponsor
  • Make an In-Kind Donation
  • Host an Event
  • Speak
  • Volunteer

For more information, please submit our Get Involved form.

This year, our event series will take place from September 19th to September 28th. Depending on the final number of sponsors, hosts and partners we may also host events on September 16th and 17th.

SiW takes place at numerous venues and spaces. The final schedule including all locations and addresses will be published this Spring. There will also be a conference app where you can manage all your events including their locations.

Yes, we encourage it! This is an Innovation Week, located in Stamford.

There are two types of tickets; events and the FastFWD conference. There is also an All-Access Pass.

Free events still require that you register for SiW and RSVP for each free event you would like to attend. Premium events cost between $5 and $25 and are also ticketed on an individual basis. The FastFWD conference is $99 for early bird tickets and $149 at full price. There is also an All-Access pass with a price point TBA.

SiW events and the conference are generally between 25% to 50% of the actual retail value thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

RSVPs, ticket purchases, managing your schedule, and all refunds/exchanges are handled in our conference app.

The SiW ticket presale will begin in April. Full ticket sales will begin in May. Be sure to subscribe on the website to be the first to know. Some events will have as little as 40 spots available amongst hundreds of participants.

SiW is a community initiative that is run by a large Board of Directors and Committee structure. We also have a small staff, internships, and vendors that help run the day-to-day activities of the organization.

For more information please visit our Team Page.

SiW’s official structure is an Unincorporated Association. Our finances are handled under a fiduciary agreement with Stamford DSSD.

Zero. SiW is run almost entirely by volunteers. Any donations or proceeds remaining after the event are used for next year’s SiW or donated to other community events and causes. By the way, most of our vendors are local and provide their products and services at a heavy discount.
