Patrick Lorent has Twenty-nine years of experience in numerous capacities the in Commercial Lending Industry. Since 2003 he has served as Vice President and Manager of Peoples United Bank Government Lending Department. Prior to joining Peoples United Bank he worked as Vice President and Chief Lending Officer for The Community’s Bank’s and also had a thirteen year career at FleetBoston Financial Corporation were he was Vice President and a Commercial Loan Officer.
Voluntarism positions include the former Vice Chairman of Liberation Programs, Inc.; a comprehensive substance abuse rehabilitation center. Board Chairman of the Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council which provides contract opportunities for minority business enterprises. He has also served on the Hartford Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and the New Britain Housing Association Board of Directors.
Mr. Lorent’s education includes Stamford High School, Morehouse College and University of Connecticut. Mr. Lorent is a graduate of the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders Lender Diploma Program and serves on the NAGGL Regional Liaison Committee. Mr. Lorent is the owner and operator of Barnum Wash & Dry, LLC and the recipient of the 2011 U.S. Small Business Administration’s Financial Services Champion of the year award. Mr. Lorent resides with his wife Monica and sons Erik and Jason in Shelton, Connecticut.
